Times Ticking!

Here's a little motivation for today! Hump day is over, and most likely like me, we didn't win no power ball :(. So let's get off our bums and lets work to get those billions by putting in work! Most times we put the gym to the side, " I'll go later", "tomorrow" been there done that trust me, and my secret to push me is by getting mad at myself, because you put yourself where you are by what you do. We aren't in this world forever, but most of us live like we will be here forever. Times ticking. Don't wait for tomorrow, your birthday, an event, summer, friend, or anything. Don't make the gym a "thing", you have to make it a ritual, a culture in your own life. Have a midlife crisis everyday and get things done like there's no tomorrow, Lets do this!

The Talkers

It's crunch time and there's no room for distraction, you get to the gym and you want to start chiseling into that statue your building. Whats the catch? Everyone's here to work out right? well not that one person, the one with the sole priority to work out their mouth..

Once in a while, like 2-3 times a week your bound to encounter "the talker". They are the person that no matter what your doing in the gym will come to you and start talking your ear off while your lifting, running, or stretching. A small quick sentence conversation is not bad, i don't mind that. I'm talking about the person that seems as if their life goal is to have the longest conversation with you while your working out. I know a few of you are even saying "well don't respond to them!" so today's article I'm going to give you a few of my favorite gym hacks to help the one goal were all here to do, PUT IN WORK!

1. Be polite and cut the conversation - You might run into a person who maybe hasn't seen you in a while and they decide to try and catch up with you then and there. you want to just finish your work out and go on your way. Be polite and let them know it's was great seeing them too. control the conversation, by what I mean on that is ask this question " What are you working out today?" This will get them to tell you what they are working on after they finish or ask you the same, reply with what your actually working out and throw in a time frame that your trying to get this quick workout in before work, school, date, xbox date, happy hour, chill time... whatever! This will pressure the person to close and let you be on your way.

2. Cut the Conversation quick with the pull out method - Just because the pull out method doesn't work for everyone for other reason it doesn't mean mine won't! my method consist of a phone... not what your dirty minds are thinking! Let's say your in a situation where you know this person might want to keep talking, maybe even option one was a no go. Well i'm here to save the day, keep nodding and pretending your very interested then grasp your pocket as if it was vibrating. pull your phone out look at it and say " hold on, I gotta get this call, nice catching up" pull phone to ear, start walking away. You have now mastered the pull out method.

3. Tough Love - Sometimes your luck may not be on your side, you've been polite, you executed the pull out method and thought you've left it in the past, but to your horror the past come to haunt you. You walked away from the dreadful talker and have hung up your conversation with your imaginary friend and are in the opposite side of the gym and started your workout. The talker pops out of no where, longing for your ear to get seduced by their persuasive words. well... i got a solution for that too, tough love. Simply equip the ear plugs, don't wait for the person to finish their sentence and start by placing one ear bud at a time, nice and slow, until their words are muffled by your music and watch as they also slow down talking and get the hint that your not there to talk. but to get your swole on! BOOM!

With the steps I have shown above, you are now holding a hidden arsenal of lethal weapons to set aside the conversations and get down to business! I hope you found these entertaining and to somewhat some helpful use! Let me know what you do by writing in the comment space below! Until next time friends!
